It’s springtime and love is in the air! The days feel lighter, brighter, and even softer somehow. I love stepping out of my apartment, and being touched by warm, soft air. Everywhere I go birds are chirping away, so happy.
There is just a peaceful sense of serenity and inner contentment, blended with gratitude, excitement, and hopeful anticipation – and I know I got my hot yoga and daily blog to thank for this beautiful energy.
This year I’ve made myself a dedication to honor my soul growth every day of the week, not just when I feel like it. I go to hot yoga once a day, and also write a blog every day. Whilst I’ve missed the hot yoga a few times, I’ve not yet skipped one blog!
There is something very profound about making a dedication to our soul growth, and then honoring it, in all that we do. A daily practice is just that – it’s a practice. It’s a way of living.
To me, writing is the ultimate form of insight and self expression, and truly helps open up all communication channels. When we write, we are in a creative flow. We are speaking our truth, and communicating from our heart.
To write for even just a few minutes, or set aside a few minutes a day for a meditation practice, or go to a yoga class, does wonders for the soul. There is just something so special about doing something so wonderful for ourselves, to really honor ourselves, be kind, and to love ourselves with unconditional compassion.
