I think what I love most about my daily hot yoga practice is surrendering to the heat, floating out into infinity, and of course – taking in beautiful spiritual guidance, either from the teachers, or from my own higher self.
Today in class, my yoga teacher reminded me about how good it feels to get things done. She read a quote I hadn’t heard before – but I definitely resonate with the words, and I would even say – they could have come out of my own mouth.
The quote she shared was:
“Better to do something imperfectly than do do nothing flawlessly.”
By Robert H. Schuller
It’s just so spot on perfect! That’s how I view my life, and perhaps most of all – this blog. I have made a commitment to myself to write a blog everyday, as a gift to my own writing.
Even though I worked as a journalist, and even wrote a book, I know I’m not the most perfect writer out there, and I’m okay with that. Because when I write there is something magical happening. I feel the words in my heart. I feel aligned, and inspired. I feel connected.
My style of writing just needs some polishing, and that will come from dedicated practice!
I believe it’s better to write one imperfect blog once a day, and feel happy and inspired, but to wait for the perfect idea, and write nothing at at all! That’s now my quote!
Better to write one imperfect blog a day, but to write nothing at at all!
