What I have found over the years, is even how happy and smooth life is, there is no way around the sad moments. They simply seem to be part of life. What is possible though – is to transition through those sad events without loosing our inner connection and joy, and the key to this, I believe, is not focus on our own pain too much – but instead feel compassion for others.
With a vision to serve people we care about, and people who need our help, we get out of our pain, and the joy of helping someone else helps us transition back to our connected happy place.
Isn’t it true? How some of the greatest joys come from caring about others? I love seeing my daughter happy and full of exuberance, I love hearing our little French Bulldog Coco making adorable snorting purring noises when I scratch her neck or belly, I love talking with dear friends, connecting with new people, and listening to someone I love, helping them, and being there for them.
Best of all – when we feel happy, we care for ourselves more, and treat ourselves with more love and compassion. It’s a circle of love and joy, of self-love and care.
When I feel happy I love doing things for myself, and taking care of myself, such as going to yoga, listening to my dreams, walking along the ocean, cruising around in vibrant art galleries, hanging out in cute coffee shops, going out for dinner with someone I love, and just feeling good, compassionate, and connected. I love writing and feeling in the zone, and I love feeling inspired.
It’s a win win. If you feel sad – focus on people you care about and who need your help, and you will be transformed back into a loving and connected place where you can better take care of yourself, and flow with joy – and now you have even more love and joy to share!
